My stay was pretty much what I expected. The breakfast was very good! I stayed in a 12 bed dorm and if it had been full it would have been very crowded. The lounge smelled kind of funny, I think that is why no one was in there. The staff were very helpful, they gave me maps, they had bus schedules and were extremely friendly! The location is kind of far from town, but it's easy to get downtown using buses. If you walk, make sure you have a map!

Staff was good to me and explained in detail what i asked some questions. Location is little far from city of wales. it might 20 minutes by bus, but price was reasonable. if you take a taxi in dawn, you can feel fast speed just 10 euro.

This hostel must lose the HI label urgently.

I am a bit concerned, I haven't stayed in the Cardiff YHA for about five years. I was planning to do so last year but cancelled. I am not being charged for this am I?

Very clean. Only one washer (front loader) that was busy 24/7 and no WiFi at all while there for two nights. Frustrating. But hostel is VERY clean. And showers as well al restroom were great!

The floor looked as if it had not been cleaned in ages, and there were no keys to get into the room, but a code, and also the door did not shut all the way, so anyone could have come in.
