Our stay at Carbisdale was canceled due to £1.2 million in water damage from 2011 winter storms & we stayed at Torridon instead.

**Carbisdale Castle Youth Hostel is currently closed for refurbishment. Please try Inverness, Tongue or Ullapool Youth Hostels as great alternatives**Steeped in turbulent history and overlooking the Kyle of Sutherland, the Castle is an enchanting place to visit. Carbisdale Castle hostel is set in fine woodlands just an hour’s drive north of Inverness, it’s a very popular venue for groups, families and weddings. Local attractions include distilleries, nature walks and new mountain biking routes. Great facilities, statue gallery and art collection, coffee shop, restaurant and resident ghost!
