Terrible breakfast but extremely confortable beds. Language can be a bit of a barrier with the staff on duty but they always try to be helpful.

The condition of furniture is good but the conditions of washrooms were horrible. Also on website they mention about providing towel but at times there is no availability of water also.
Hostel Overview
The hostel is well situated on the banks of the River Nile in central Cairo. There are different room types and sizes available. All prices include breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also available.Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city in Africa. It city accommodates 26% of the Egyptian population. A cosmopolitan city that blends charm of the East with a Mediterranean flavor. It is a melting pot where landmarks and antiquities of Pharaonic dynasties exist beside those of Greco-Roman, Christian and Islamic influences. Cairo is a dynamic city, proud of its warm and friendly people who are well known for their traditional hospitality. On the western Bank of the Nile and on top of the Giza plateau rise the colossal Pyramids and the mysterious Sphinx - two of the most glorious contributions of Pharaonic heritage. In the heart of Cairo, the eternal River Nile flows gently from south to north. A Cairo visitor cannot miss sailing in a Nile felucca at sunset.
Note: We don't provide mixed accommodation at our hostels in Egypt; but a man and woman can stay in the same room if they are: Husband and wife or Father/Mother and their children or brothers and sisters.

| Metro: | There is a big Metro (Underground) station within 10 min. walk from the hostel. Ask the receptionist for the direction to the metro station. |

| Location: | The hostel is located on the west bank of the River Nile in central Cairo. The hostel is 2 min. walk to the Medical College and Dentist College, Cairo University. From the main entrance of the hostel you can cross the street and enjoy a walk beside the Nile. If you cross the University Bridge (Kobri El Gamaa) you will be in Giza and you can visit the Zoo. There are many ways of transportation from the hostel or from down the bridge to nearly any where in Cairo and Giza. Also there is a big Metro (Underground) station within 10 min. walk from the hostel. |
| Rail: | 4.5km to main Cairo railway station. From Mahatet Misr (Misr Station) railway station you can go anywhere in Egypt. |
| Airport: | 32km to north-east of city. From Cairo International Airport you can take the bus no. 356 from the bus station at the airport to Tahrir Square (Abd El-Moniem Riyadh Bus Station) and from Tahrir Square take a taxi to the hostel and pay max. 5 Egyptian Pounds or the amount that appear on the meteric counter if you took the new white taxi. Also you can call the Yellow Cab (Taxi) on 16516 or 19155 and give them the address of the hostel and pay the amount that appears on the metric counter and take a receipt from the driver (the amount will be around 50 Egyptian Pound). You can call the Yellow taxi from the airport but you will have to wait for it sometime if there is taxi available. You can also take the Yellow Cab to go to any where in Cairo. |
