Loved the hostel, and we even got the top room to ourselves - much appreciated. friendly, lovely staff and the building was cozy and had character. Beautiful location!!!

A really nice hostel, but it would be great if someone would make the lounge less cold, both in decor and temperature.

YHA Buttermere is in an unrivalled location half a mile above Buttermere village and walks for all levels start here – including the famous Haystacks. Enjoy a fantastic meal in our bar/restaurant with views of Red Pike and High Stile. Rooms have 2-6 beds and facilities include a lounge and kitchen.
