Terrible neighbourhood. I was robbed! Do not leave the hostel after dark! When you come back please take a taxi for your own safety!

People say that the hostel is in a bad neighborhood. I asked for directions twice on the street close to the hostel. The first time it was just described to me how to get there. The second time I was escorted to the hostel by three congenial men. The people in the neighborhood, as I see it, are generally really helpful and even altruistic. They even tolerated my shoddy French!

Although it is located in a somewhat unsafe territory, I think the staff is trying to compensate it by being more kind to the people. It is great! But be sure not to go out late

Hostel Overview
The Génération Europe Youth Hostel couldn’t be better: it is quite simply right at the centre of the European capital. There’s no excuse not to visit! At just 15 minutes on foot from the Grand Place, how can you resist this wonderful opportunity to visit Brussels without restrictions. For young trendsetters, you are also right next to the famous Saint-Géry quarter and Rue Antoine Dansaert: don’t forget to take back a little fashion accessory!One thing is for sure: at this hostel multicultural encounters are a frequent occurrence. You will head home enriched by a once in a lifetime experience!
And, something quite unique in Brussels, this hostel has parking places for motor-homes.
