Hostel Overview

Borlaug´s most famous attraction is Borgund Stave Church (1150), one of the best preserved stave churches in Norway. There are also excellent opportunities for walking and hiking in the area, e.g. on the old road Vindhellaveien (opened in 1793), many parts of which have a beautiful view. There are two nearby ski resorts; Filefjell 25 km and Hemsedal 45 km from the hostel. A permit for fishing trout can be bought from the hostel.
