The hostel staff were good. The reception and tour agency staff were hopeless. We were a group of 6 people. I could not get a response to emails I sent trying to book tours in advance and when we arrived there was confusion between morning and evening staff, times changed, tours couldn't be booked and other clients were experiencing the same problems. I wrote an email detailing our experience and frustrations and Luiz responded blaming everyone else and accepting no responsibility.I recommend using a diiferent tour agency for your bookings.

Dear Peter, we organize for you and your friends two of the best tours of Bonito. The hostel is not owner of any tour, we can not guarantee vacancies because there are limits on each tour a day. You came at Easter which is a high season of major of the year ! The hostel is only 5 blocks from the center, located away from the noise that is very bad during the day and evening with the festivities. If you do not like to walk 500 meters to avoid the tracks of ecological tours.

If 500 meters is a bit far (5 minutes walking), you must have been tired on the trail of Bonito ecological tours. Bonito has only 15,000 inhabitants, is less than a district of a big city. Why did not rent a bike? Thanks for your stay - Ronaldo Mendoza - tour attendant

Some of the bikes which they rented out where broken, and i"ve heard some word about wrong information concerning the tours. However, the staff has handled both incidents very well.

we enjoyed our stay very much, and enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. Tours suggested were great. The only thing that was really not op to standards was the internetconnection and computer room. Time to upgrade there!

Thanks for your comments.The internet access is free, it ends at 11:00 PM to avoid noise. We respect the silence law from 11:00 PM to 07:00 PM. We really enjoyed this Hostel. Great staff, good set up and good breakfast. The only negative thing is the expensive transfers but I think that is just Bonito :(

The most unhelpful and disorganised staff I have encountered at any hostel on my 9 month trip! Kept getting given the wrong information for tours, transfers and rooms. The only positive regarding the staff were the ladies in the cafe who were very helpful and friendly. I defiantly would not recommend this hostel.

Dear Nicci, you were here in a full brasilian holiday, only for two days. You just made a reservation at the hostel but not called for reservations of tours. In high season it is necessary to book top tours in advance because the tours have limited places a day. The HI hostel is not owner of the tours, we only check availability of places and times, like an airline company. You should have asked to reserve the tours in advance, should not blame our team for your failure. If there are no places in the tours there is no transportation also. Sorry, but the disorganized are you did not ask the necessary information on the organization of Bonito tourism that has many rules and laws to preserve nature and provide security for tourists. I would highly recommand this hostel. the location is slightly out of the "city" center but after seing the center...seriously who cares :). you can walk there or ask a moto taxi to take you there for 4 reais. It even help all the people to gather around one place (rather than go out in the city) and chat and this is where bonito-hostel truely shine. I have spend 5 nights and all of those nights I had a big pleasure to talk with great people from around the world. if i had to do it again I would spend 3 nights as in general the attraction in Bonito can be quite expensive. This hostel sell also cheap drinks and food and a supermarket is not far from there.

Bonito is set in the Bodoquena Mountain range in a stunning area of rivers, caves and underground streams. The hostel here emphasises ecological and adventure tourism: Snorkelling in crystal clear water rivers, abseilling and scuba diving in big and wet caves, trekking around waterfalls, horseback, quadbike, tubing . The hostel offers 20 couple/family suit rooms, 8 shared rooms with privite bath; facilities include discount for members in some tours, swimming pool, internet room, attendance with guides speaking english, restaurant bar, satellite TV, BBQ, kitchen, laundry and tourism office that organizes all the Bonito and Pantanal tours.

Bus:	The Hostel's staff picks you up for free at the Bonito's bus station. By bus from Campo Grande to Bonito with Viação Cruzeiro do Sul bus Co.: at 07:00 AM or 09:00 AM or 11:00 AM or 04:00 PM and 06:00 PM. We´ll be waiting for you at the Bonito bus station. There is a vehicle change when the bus get Jardim city but with same bus Co. - It´s about 5 hours journey; the bus ticket costs R$ 55,00. From Iguazu Falls to Bonito (Foz do Iguassu): best way is to go to Dourados city by Medianeira or Integração bus Co. leaves Foz de Iguassu everyday at 05:00 or 06:00 PM, arriving Dourados at 04:30 and 05:30 AM; the Cruzeiro do Sul bus Co. leaves Dourados at 06:00 AM arriving in Bonito at 11:30 AM; we pick you up at Bonito bus terminal for free; find the bus links below
