My plane landed at Heathrow nearly two hours late.. This meant I was unable to arrive before reception closed. I did ring the hostel to advise but they were unable to assist. I thought I would sleep in the car park and at least get a shower in the morning, unfortunately my car alarm wouldn't allow this.. Despite my car alarm going off a couple of times nobody inside came out to see what the problem was.

YHA Blaxhall provides easy access to Suffolk Sandlings, an area of outstanding natural beauty with easy walking and flat cycling routes. The hostel offers comfortable accommodation in a former village school with disabled access and great facilities for families and handy for trips to the beach, quiet get aways and concerts at Snape Maltings.

For bird watching visit the bird reserves at Minsmere and Orfordness or immerse yourself in the area’s Anglo Saxon heritage at Sutton Hoo. Tasty meals are served in our restaurant.
