The hostel is super clean and if you are staying for one day its a good value for the money. However, they do have a policy that you cannot stay in the hostel between 10:00-16:00. No exceptions. This means that you have to pack your bags every day and clean them out of the room. This maybe fine on a nice and sunny day, but it's a major inconvenience if it's raining (as it was when we stayed there). There are no places to go in Biei in bad weather. Consider this and the unpredictability of the weather when you are thinking about staying here for more than 1 day.

Very easy acces from the station, which is useful if you arrive late. As usual in Hokkaido, communication are difficult as personnel of the hostel don't speak english, or very little.

It is a very nice and clean hostel. The location is good as it is located directly at the train station and it is a very quiet surrounding. On the other hand there is basically nothing in Bibaushi itself but it is a good starting point to see the sightseeing spots around Biei which is very close. The breakfast is a bit 'uninspired' and the internet a bit slow but all in all it is a very nice place to stay :)

This room is not worth its price. There was a stink of sweat in the room. Breakfast was so meager, only toast and coffee, anything other than this must be additionally charged. Toothbrushes, towels and shavers were porvided only if you have paid. I am disappointed very much.

10am to 4pm not allowed to go back hostel will inconvenient customers especially when one is sicked and needed rest.

No shop or restaurant around the hostel. You have to use local train to go to Biei station to fond something to eat and everything are around Biei station. Breakfast are bread and coffee.

Nice accommodation, very clean and quiet, but check-in time is 4PM which is very late. Free breakfast with a little fee for soup and Biei milk.

I traveled Hokkaido for 8 days and this one was the best. Fine Ohuro and free breakfast especially was impressive.
Hostel Overview
Bibaushi Liberty Youth Hostel is settled within just 1 minute walk from Bibaushi Station on JR Furano Line - you can see the fashionable and outstanding white lodge when you get off the train.Bibaushi is a popular spot for young people, where watercolor paint, photo and woodwork art galleries and cafes are scattered. The YH is the most convenient basement for walking around Biei flower hill.
Our breakfast is bread, coffee and tea. We do not offer dinner.
