Extra fee for sheets... And no sleeping bag allowed! Staff not really friendly, light from the emergency exit turned on the whole night in the dorms... Annoying. But the breakfast is rich and good, and there's a good view from the city. Tables outside, must be nice when it's not raining.

You tolerated sleeping by members without using sheets, that is not good custom!! Will be nice to have better drainage of water in showers and some hooks, shelves for toilet accessory.

Amazing Hostel!!I would definitely rate it like one of the best I ever stayed in. Buffet very rich, very clean and staff very friendly!!

Hostel is starting to be a little shabby with the bed duvet and pillow especially in need of replacing, otherwise a nice stayh and a good breakfast selection

no student discount for the bergen card available at the hostel, although it is available at the tourist information :( very nice with the kitchen for free use and the living room. Breakfast was nearly perfect: some fresh fruits in addion would be great :)

Montana Family and Youth hostel is located in beautiful surroundings on the hillside of Mount Ulriken. From here you will get a magnificent view over Bergen city centre. If you are up for a hike, hiking trails start just outside our doorstep.We serve a healthy breakfast buffet, have excellent parking facilities and wireless internet - all of this is INCLUDED IN the accomodation PRICE!
Enjoy making your dinner at our fully equipped guest kitchen, relax in the TV-lounge, have fun playing foosball and table tennis, or make a break in the back yard overlooking the city.
Both individual travellers and families may feel like at home here at Montana hostel – a good choice for budget accomodation in Bergen.

| Bus: | Local bus nr 12 "Montana" is a convenient way to get to the hostel from the city centre. You can take the 12-bus from the central bus terminal, platform B. Bergen Bus terminal is located next to the train station. You can also catch the 12-bus at a centrally located place called “Festplassen” on Christies gate, which is a bit closer to the tourist information and the harbour. The trip will take 15 to 20 minutes. Don’t hesitate to ask the driver to announce the Montana stop for You. When you exit the bus, you'll be about 200 meters from the youth hostel. Look for a hostel sign indicating the direction. |
| Parking: | Ample free parking at hostel for cars, motorbikes and buses. Covered bicycle stand close to the entrance. |
| Location: | 5km south of the city centre,on the hillside of mount Ulriken. |
| Airport: | Flesland airport is located 20km from Bergen. Take the airport bus to town and go off at the central bus terminal called Bystasjon. From there - take bus nr 12 "Montana" from platform B.
