some of the staff dont speak english well, be prepared. get a taxi tag from them which has directions for yhai printed out in chinese.

when we arrived, they didn't find our hihostels' internet booking for which we paid about 40 yuan.

very beautiful place, very friendly atmosphere, near ATM and subways. I have to admit it is a little expensive but the price worth it! it is one of the best youth hostel I have been in China!

Staff doesn't speak english! Very incompetent and very unfriendly! The toilet seat looked very old and was broken.

Bed sheet should be newly issued for each individual. Lockers are full and I have to deposit my laptop with frontdesk officers who ensured me my laptop would be safe. Finally I got my laptop back, but I noticed there was time when no one attend the front desk and I could see my laptop laying down there. Luckily on one took it. Lockers would be more in numbers. Bathroom in bedroom 15 is dirty.
Hostel Overview
Beijing P.LOFT Hostel located in the heart of a Hutong, and is very convinient located near two major subway lines, and you can have the feeling of traditional Chinese living though its surroundings and modernity in its clientele of your back packers from all over the world. It's still being close to the YongHeGong Lama Temple.It is a quite big area with interestingly arranged building: a special one for basketball, Ping-Pong, Snoccer! And variety of bedrooms spread around. Fantastic day and night rooms with Bar, TV and Internet.Beijing P.Loft Hostel is located in downtown Beijing, within the hutong (alley houses) neighbourhood behind the Lama Temple. Visitors will find the hostel offers a peaceful break from a busy urban life. It is only 300 metres away from the Lama Temple subway station on lines 2 or 5, from which you can easily access most of Beijing's top sites. The P.Loft site was formally an artillery factory built in the 18th century by the Qing Dynasty. Following this it became a military weapons depot, prison, then a factory. We kept the original features and style when we were building the hostel in 2007, and today you can still see the remains of the old buildings. We provide clean and comfortable beds, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. No matter where you are from or what you do, you are always welcome to join us. It is the one youth hostel with the Loft style in Beijing.P.LOFT youth hostel is not only a hostel in Beijing.We try to took it upon ourselves to do something a little different to enhance our guests experience and increase their comfort during their stay. We 'll make our effort to give you unique and unforgetable memories.Therefore, we maximize the wealth of our entertainment in the hostel.It is a quite big area with interestingly arranged building: a special one for basketball, Ping-Pong, Snoccer! What to see and do (daily tours arranged at the hostel): 1)Walking on the Great Wall from Jinshanling to Simatai. The structure of Jinshanling was mainly built in 1570 of Ming Dynasty and it was a well-preserved fortification system as well as natural fantastic scenery. Simatai Great Wall is highly recommended by the publication Lonely Planet. The hostel organizes daily tours for you to walk on the Great Wall from Jinshanling to Simatai. Along the way you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and you will bring home many pleasant memories. 2)Tours also available to the Badaling and Ming Tombs. 3)The Summer Place tour includes tours to the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, Tian¡¯an men Square along with the Summer palace. 4)Beijing Opera at Liyuan Theatre, with its traditional setting is on regular live performances either English subtitles everyday. 5)Acrobatics 6)Chinese Kungfu show

From the Beijing west train station: Take the bus No.820 (neihuan) or bus No.2 from the Beijing west railway station to the east of Yong He Lama Temple station. And then work around 5 minutes. |
