I had a really nice stay and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hostel has a very homely atmosphere and the ambience is superb. The subway at JiShuiTan is a good 10 minutes walk, but it should not be too difficult for most able bodied person to tackle. And once there, it being on the Line2, means you are instantly connected to most major tourist venues. Overall I'd recommend this hostel to anyone without a second thought.

Hostel interior very original, cozy and chinese. Double room too small, toilet very smelly, water drains almost blocked. All in all, not bad but not quite so good value for money.

I found the hostel realy beautiful , spotlessly clean and very efficient front desk staff. If I ever visit Beijing again I will stay at the same hostel without thinking twice. hostel authorities should put more sign boards at strategic places to help tourists find their way from the subway exit to the hostel. Given that absolutely no one understands english on the streets these signs are an absolute neccessity. To fellow non native travellers I would recommend that even though a taxi is not required to take you from the subway to the hostel, you might want to flag one down when arriving for the first time or reaching at night time. shouldn't cost you more than the minimum going rate.

The hostel is not located in any exciting area, The hostel, however, is near a subway station. From there, it is very easy and cheap to travel around.

The beds aren't that comfortable, but they do the trick. As for the location, it was advertised as centrally located, which is no doubt true in geographic terms (it's right on the 2nd Ring Road,) but it is not within walking distance of anything worth seeing or any fun activities. It should be clarified that a taxi or a metro ride will be necessary to access the more fun parts of Beijing.

I really spend a great time in this hostel with two of my friends, everything was perfect in this hostel, I have met really good people, kind and very cool. I recommend this place.

Buen Hostal, está a unos 10 minutos caminando del metro, íbamos con mochilas pesadas y ningún problema. La pieza siempre estuvo limpia, la cama muy dura (me estoy dando cuenta que es común en China), tiene un patio ambientado bien bonito, venden comida y cerveza muy barata lo que es un agrado, hay lavadora y secadora. Están agradando el hostal, por lo que si lo quieres es ir a dormir hasta tarde quizás no sea el lugar apropiado ya que los trabajos comienzan temprano. Está un poco alejado de la parte más turística (plaza tiananmen) pero con el metro se soluciona eso. Si vuelvo a Beijing volvería a ese hostal. Lo recomiendo, el staff muy agradable aunque algunos no se manejan 100% con el inglés. Me ayudaron a conseguir el ticket de tren a Pingyao, hay caja fuerte, no se hacen problemas con guardarte las mochilas el día en que te vas. Es una buena opción

The bar played music that was too soft. The menu could have been more interesting and had more variety. Sim's Cozy in Chengdu is an example of a pretty good menu. The tours were good, pickups good, although getting everybody back to their various hotels at the conclusion of the great trip to Jinshanling was extremely inefficient and annoying. There could have been better specific instructions about how to get to various places. "To get to XXXX, take the # Bus, change at X, take the # Subway.

The staff was very friendly and the hostel was clean and comfortable. This hostel has a very nice common area to meet other travelers. We enjoyed our stay!

Heyuan International is the latest HI hostel in Beijing to join the HI network. The hostel is one of the HI network of hostels in China and one of a few hostels in Beijing. Located in the city of Beijing is is perfectly situated for sightseeing and exploring.Heyuan International Youth Hostel is a courtyard hostel. We are fulfilling the concept of free communication and protecting the environment. The hostel is conveniently located in the heart of Beijing, which is 8 minutes walk from the subway(Jishuitan Station). With the traditional decorating style, beautiful courtyard, lively bar and comfortable beds, it is born for backpackers .
