As regards to location, it would be helpful to have directions or a map in the relevant brochure as they are difficult to find.

Availability of utensils and pans etc in the kitchen was very limited. It was a pity to see that what had gone was not repaires. The building was not well kept. For instance the painting of the window sills, the wall painting was coming off.

not close to town or store. great place if you have a car or bicycle. you can rent a bicycle at the hostel but I thought 13 Euro a day was expensive. Very nice and friendly staff.

Reception desk is open from 9:00 am to 12:00 am and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, 16 May - 15 September, and from 9:00 to 12:00 am and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm the rest of the year. Beaugency is proud to be part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Loire Valley. This charming medieval town is only 1 hour and a half from Paris and 30 minutes from Chambord, Blois and Orléans. The main heritage of a rich past is composed of: the Tour César, from the 11th century and its legendary bridge, the Château Dunois built by Dunois, Joan of Arc’s armourer. Hikers will enjoy going by foot, bike or canoe to discover the Abbey of Notre-Dame dating back to 12th century, the Tour St Firmin, the Renaissance townhall with its magnificent collection of tapestries, the clock tower Church of Saint Etienne, one of the oldest Romanesque churches in the Loire Valley which was restored and made into a cultural centre.
You can rent a bike at the hostel or near the train station (2km from the hostel).
Bed linen included in the price of the night. Extra fee for breakfast (€4.20). Please bring your own towel & soap. Discount for children under 10 ; contact the hostel.
Don't forget your membership card to stay in this hostel! (Sold at the hostel or online, HI Welcome card €7).
From May to October this hostel proposes a package stay "Mythical chateaux of the Loire Valley". This package includes 4 days/ 3 nights with breakfasts and packed lunchs + a Pass for the 3 main chateaux (Chambord, Blois and Cheverny). Book on this website or at the hostel.
