The young male & female kitchen & cleaning staff had no english. Every morning I got the wrong breakfast. They didn't clean my room until day 3 & then the young woman threw away no special sorbelene soap bar (very annoying. Reception staff were excellent.

we stayed again from 15-20 Mar 2012. HI Bangkok hostel stay was really good. If I ever visit bangkok again I would stay in the same hostel. Right place for a decent stay. Thanks to Mr. John and his team.

One among the staff was very efficient about giving means to go by bus at some place en Bangkok. I found that the owner was to present. One of staff was not friendly; when we were asking questions, it was like if we disturb him. The room was nice. The commun room was full of mosquitos in the evening: impossible to stay there. The mattress of the room 2/2 was not good.

Staying is good.20 minutes walking to khaosan road.10 Minutes walking distance to thewes pear(pear no.15)you can easily go to the grand palace,temple of dawn,chin town through chao pharo river way by orange boat against of 15 thb.

Very friendly and helpful staff - if you ask they will give you good advices how to get somewhere and what the cheapest way to get there avoiding expensive tuk-tuks and taxis. Good comfort - the mattress in our room was a bit tough, however we slept well on it. Small ants in the room, but they are EVERYWHERE in Thailand, even in the very expensive places - this is how Thailand is - love it or hate it. I loved it! Good location - 30 minutes walk from Khao San, close to the bus stops from where you can go by cheap bus (6.5baht) everywhere in Bangkok, 10 minutes walk from Thewet Pier, from where you can get by cheap boat (15baht) to lot of places, also to the central train station, etc. And it's far from busy roads, so very quiet. HI Bangkok - very good value for money. Remember this is a cheap hotel, so don't expect SPA treatment, swimming pool and other posh stuff. This is a clean, nice, quiet and modest hotel - ideal to rest before a further journey.

the staff and the pretty boss are quite friendly and enthusiastic, always willing to provide the detailed routes for ur plan. room is adequate. there R heaps of hawkers in the street right outside the hostel for cheap and beautiful thai food.

30 minute walk to the main sights and 20 minutes to Khao San Road. Extremely clean, modern and spacious rooms. It is very quiet at night and there is a night guard. We enjoyed the free breakfast. The owner is a very friendly guy who gave us plenty of tips to enjoy our visit of Bangkok, he also helped with our onward travels.

The hostel staffs are very friendly.It is comfortable to stay. In addition ,We can find Muay Thai stadium near the hostel.It is good for man who loves fighting sports.

The bed was a little on the hard side and there were lots of biting insects near the internet terminal - ouch!

Also within walking distance of the Chao Praya River, you can take an exciting boat ride to the temple of dawn and other popular spots in the city.In the original building there are 12 private rooms with all the basic necessities: spacious rooms with air conditioning and en- suite bathrooms with hot showers. For the traveler on a tight budget there are also separate men’s and women‘s dorms with shared bathrooms.
