If you enjoy being one with nature, you will be happy to know that this town has much to offer in outdoor activities, such as nature walks, bike riding, swimming, fishing (angling or underwater fishing), hunting, camping... São Roque has the essential attractions in order for you to spend unforgettable days. Underwater fishing is very appealing due to the richness of our ocean's fauna and flora and it's interesting rock formations. The observation of these species is also a great activity. As an alternative to underwater observation, you can turn to the Whale Watching companies and spend some time with these magnificent mammals (as with the dolphins). For those whom enjoy hunting: rabbit hunting season is open throughout the year and if you purchase a license, you may also hunt for woodcock, perdizes and quail.The weather is known to be a bit unstable, but it is mild enough to create the perfect ecosystem, which in it's turn allows the production of tasty delicacies such as the well known island cheese.
Can you imagine a holiday like this?! Those whom visit this island are guarantied days of unforgettable pleasure and relaxation.
