Beds were a bit squeaky. For a hostel outside a big city, it was a bit pricey at 22 quid a night. Staff were very helpful. Showers were great. Plenty of lounge and dining area. Kitchen was well stocked.

Overall, this hostel is OK. I enjoyed my time there, but the layout is more institutional than charming.

toilet door did not close. very uncomfortable bed with a bunk on the top. when a good bed and breakfast is only 60 pounds a night, the private rooms with no en suite are not very good value for money. they should be much cheaper as they are very basic in some hostels tho the locations are great and it is nice to meet other travellers.
Hostel Overview
SYHA Aviemore hostel is located about 5 minutes from Aviemore town centre and its bustling nightlife. The area offers an impressive range of outdoor activities from skiing in winter, to canoeing and hiking in summer. The Scottish Whisky Trail is also nearby. Accommodation is in 2-6+ bedded rooms, with private and family rooms available. Facilities include internet access, laundry and kitchen.The area around Aviemore hostel is host to a diverse range of wildlife, everything from deer, capercaille, eagles and arctic hares. For something unusual you could go on a guided trip with a Park Ranger, take part in the annual ‘Thunder in the Glens’ Harley Davidson rally or take a sled dog ride!
