Hostel Overview

The town of Augustusburg consists of five parts that stretch from the peak of Schellenberg mountain (516 m) to the valleys of the rivers Flöha and Zschopau. It is situated within the conservation area of "Augustusburg - Sternmühlental" and has a large network of walking and cycle paths. Every part of the town has a special character that is being preserved. The youth hostel is situated in a wing of the Renaissance hunting lodge Augustusburg, built in 1572 and formerly owned by the Prince-Elector.

People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.

Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);

Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;

Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).

Bus:	A72 to exit Chemnitz-Süd, then Südring until Augustusburger Straße, from there via Erdmannsdorf to Augustusburg.

Rail:	Train to Dresden or Chemnitz, then regional train (Regionalbahn) via Flöha to Erdmannsdorf-Augustusburg, then funicular from Erdmannsdorf to Augustusburg (approx. 5 min walk), alternatively regional bus Chemnitz-Flöha-Augustusburg or Chemnitz-Erdmannsdorf-Augustusburg to stop Augustusburg-Schlossberg.
