I stayed in the hostel at Liège for 2 nights, it is near downtown, easy to reach by bus and walking. Oh, and the wi-fi is free! The only negative point is the bathroom (without a door and a shower - sorry, but that thing from where the water flows is nothing bur a pipe). The staff is friendly as everybody in the city. Most people don't talk English in Liège (only French and somrtimes German) but it was not a problem because they are very gentle and always try to help you. It was a great experience!

Catacomb room interior. Heating in the room did not work. Poor lighting in the room. "Natural" breakfast was without fruit and vegetables.

Liege is a city full of traffic and life. The hostel is near the police-station. Sleep is not always easy to get!
Hostel Overview
Ah, Liège! What more can we say about this town? A hive of activity throughout the year, world capital of student folklore, nerve centre of Belgian football and so many other things. Liège Youth Hostel is in perfect harmony with the spirit of the town. Party the night away in a fabulous setting, every night of the week? No fear! Well, we will let you sleep in.The hostel is a 5 minute walk from the buzz of the town centre, in a decidedly young and vibrant part of town. For those keen to explore, Liège (and specifically the hostel) is an ideal base from which to visit the major tourist cities in Belgium and Europe. Brussels, Bruges, Cologne, Maastricht…here you come!
And apart from that, don’t forget to sample at least one of our famous Liège waffles. If you don’t, it’s as if you never set foot in Liège.
Each year from 12th to 15th August, the youth hostel offers free concerts. And so on the penultimate weekend of June :that's "la Fête de la Musique". Festive atmosphere guaranteed. If you are looking for rest, you'd better postpone your trip!
