We found the beds a little cramped and put the matresses on the floor

we would like to have a toilet and shower in the room. In the shower just above the stairs, there was no shower curtain and no showerhead. Maybe that is no good English, I mean where the water cames out. The food was very good

Very nice but kitchen wasn't always cleaned but in fairness hostellers are supposed to clean up after themselves. A lot didn't in the 4 days that I was there.. Great friendly staff

This is a hidden gem what a lovely house but even better is the location. Just so beautiful, as usual the staff (John in particular) was so helpful and a font of knowledge.

Hostel Overview
Get your share of coast and countryside in a stunning location. Our Edwardian house has majestic views of the Lake District. Explore a landscape of wild woodland, limestone hills and beaches butterflies and birdlife, orchids and peace.A real find if you love the Lake District but not summer crowds. Arnside YHA is set in a large Edwardian house above Morecambe Bay which boasts great views of the Lake District mountains. It’s a good touring base for the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales and there’s a variety of walks nearby. Birdwatchers will enjoy the RSPB reserve and butterfly lovers shouldn’t miss Arnside Knott. Enjoy good food in our comfortable, licensed restaurant.
