It's located in walking distance of everything, and you're not suppose to stay in the hostel anyway in Alice Springs...
Hostel Overview
YHA Alice Springs is built within an historic outdoor movie theatre, this unique modern hostel is the perfect base to explore Australia’s Red Centre attractions including the McDonnell Ranges, Simpson’s Gap, or take a tour to Ayers Rock. YHA members can save with travel discounts. The hostel, located in the centre of town, has a range of 3-8 bed rooms with air-conditioning, lovely outdoor living area and swimming pool (including the outdoor movie screen!), BBQ, internet access and tour desk.Winner Best Backpacker Accommodation at the 2011 Northern Territory Tourism Awards.
YHA/HI members receive a minimum 10% off standard accommodation rates.

| Rail: | 2km to the station. Regular 'Ghan' services available to/from Adelaide, and to/from Darwin. Town shuttle bus to hostel door AUD$9 per person. |
| Airport: | 15km to Alice Springs Airport. Airport shuttle: AUD$14 per person to YHA/ $19 per person from YHA. |
