A bit of distance from train station. Staff`s nice. Prices for the room and breakfast are actually calculated separately, but didn`t get discount even though we mentioned that we had to check out early and couldn`t eat breakfast.

Fantastic breakfast buffet, what a treat! Try and rent a bike to see the surrounding countryside, it's stunning! The hostel lent me theirs. The hostel was also very comfortable, the building is awesome! It's got one of those great grass roofs. It's a bit of a ways from the train/bus station, but you can take a bus to the hostel, or walk about 1/2 hr.

Hostel Overview

This hostel is a seasonal hostel, which means it is not open all year and has seaonal opening times. Please keep this is mind when checking avaliability. Åndalsnes Hostel is idyllicaly situated approximately 1.5km outside the centre of Åndalsnes, surrounded by the spectacular Romsdal Mountains and the Romsdal Fjord. Åndalsnes Hostel is one of Norway's oldest hostels, and consists of three buildings located in a farmyard. We can offer our guests a nice welcome, clean and tidy rooms/common areas, a large outside area and free parking. In addition, our world famous breakfast is included in the price.

There is a quiet and calm atmosphere at the hostel, and it is very well suited for children. The hostel's location is very favourable considering the short distance to all of the famous attractions in the Åndalsnes area. It is an excellent starting point for day trips by foot, bicycle or car. Possible day trips are for instance: Trollstigen, Geiranger, Ålesund, Molde, The Atlantic Road and Kristiansund.

Activities range from horse riding and mountain hiking to fishing in the famous Rauma salmon river. Accommodation is in 2-6+ bedded rooms and facilities include kitchen, laundry and bike hire.

Bus:	50 metres Public/scheduled buses. Sightseeing bus that goes to Trollstigen and Geiranger starts at the hostel every morning at 8.15am. Every bus from Geiranger to Åndalsnes stops at the hostel.

Location:	1,5 km to town centre
Rail:	1,5 km to Station
Airport:	It is about 50 km to the closest airport to Åndalsnes. The airport is called Molde Airport Årø. Other airports in the area is; Ålesund Airport Vigra, about 135 km, and Kristiansund Airport, about 115 km.
