Waitomo General Store. Went shopping in Otorohanga for groceries before leaving for Waitomo; the only 'store' is the Waitomo General Store, which has a fairly good selection for its size (basic staples). Oddly, quite a few organic things. Try the Hokey Pokey ice cream. |

Otorohanga farmer's market (Sunday), then hop the train South. The trains are barely half-full, and it doesn't matter where you're going, views all the way are spectacular. |
