The YHA English breakfast at about 5 pounds is good value, though it depends which staff member is cooking and serving as to how much or little you get on the plate. Reeve bakery downtown (near the town square)has a delicious range of cakes and sandwiches. There's also a relatively inexpensive and tasty kebab shop in Milford Street only a few minutes walk from YHA

The Odeon Theatre (cinema) is a beautiful old building with various screening times. Not sure about venturing too much into nightclubs after reading local newspaper reports of vicious unprovoked attacks by local youth gangs on individuals.

YHA Salisbury is a listed building just a short walk from the historic city of Salisbury and nine miles from Stonehenge. The hostel is a great base for exploring the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and its many prehistoric sites.

Explore Wiltshire from this 200-year old secluded villa set in private grounds. It’s minutes from Salisbury Cathedral and nine miles from Stonehenge. There’s the Roman villa at Rockbourne, the Iron Age hill-fort at Old Sarum and the Regimental Badges of Fovant carved into the chalk downs, to name a few.
