Youth Hostel in Salisbury - Travel Tips for HI hostel Salisbury YHA, England & Wales (Page 2/3)Book

Budget Meals Evening and Night Time Entertainment Visitor Attractions Where To Go Next
Don't miss... 30 May 2009 Adrian, England & Wales:
Cathedral of course...and Stonehenge is a short drive away.
06 Apr 2009 DAVID, England & Wales:
Clyffe Pypard - A good bunkhouse attached to a pub in a quiet village. No entertainment apart from the telly, no night life and the main visitor attraction is the local church and the surrounding countryside. A good place to go to get away from it all.
For good eats check out... 28 Mar 2009 Kathy, Canada:
Marks and Spencer's in the town centre. Great deals on pre-packaged meals. We were able to buy 3 microwavable dinners for 5 pds. Plus they have hummus, dips, breads, etc. All at reasonable prices. But be sure to eat as soon as you get back to the hostel. We bought our food and put it in the shared kitchen, Came back two hours later and everything was gone. I just hope it was someone who really needed a hot meal. We had to go out and eat as there was nothing left.
For great nightlife try... 08 Mar 2009 Richard, Australia:
Salisbury has some great pubs. Try the Haunch of Venison. It has a mummified hand out the back.
Don't miss... 08 Mar 2009 Richard, Australia:
Catthedral and Stonehenge are great local sights, but Salisury is a good base for day trips. Don't miss Portsmouth or Bath.
Don't miss... 03 Feb 2009 Bernadette, Germany:
Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral
Don't miss... 28 Jan 2009 Nicholas, USA:
Of course Stonehenge, and the next place people will probably recommend is Old Sarum. Another really cool day trip from Salisbury is the henge in Avebury which encircles most of the town. Ask about it at the bus station. The bus schedules seem to change more quickly than the guidebooks can keep up, so probably will have to check there regardless of what you do.
06 Jan 2009 Elizabeth, Australia:
Bath is a must - very interesting - wonderful history.
For good eats check out... 06 Dec 2008 Renee, England & Wales:
