Poole, everyone said is so fabulous, is dreadfully boring, unless you are into sailing, jetskiing, sailboarding, etc. Battle, a small town just north of Hastings in the south of England, is the site of the Battle of Hastings of 1066 ... a great place if you are into history and/or the Bayeux Tapestry. The town itself is also very cute.
