Compton's (very friendly gay pub) in Soho on Old Compton Street, but they close early, even on weekends. Also try CXR79 on Charing Cross Road, right around the corner from Compton's. They stay open late, even during the week. |

Walk along the Thames from Richmond into Kew Gardens. A lovely relaxing stroll in the countryside away from the noise and traffic of London. |

Poole, everyone said is so fabulous, is dreadfully boring, unless you are into sailing, jetskiing, sailboarding, etc. Battle, a small town just north of Hastings in the south of England, is the site of the Battle of Hastings of 1066 ... a great place if you are into history and/or the Bayeux Tapestry. The town itself is also very cute. |
