Next port of call should be Glen Coe SYHA-again a lovely clean, fully functional hostel with an incredibly beautiful drive to get there. |

the breakfast was a bit expensive ( 3.50 pounds but you get a big breakfast) We didn't want such a big breakfast so we didn't use it. It would have been nice to just get the cornflakes or some bread. |

Stirling. John O'Groats. People say there's nothing up around the top end of Scotland, but the drive was beautiful with lots to see. We came back through the mountains and the views were spectacular but the drive a bit slow owing to the winding roads. |

HI Hostel Loch Lomond YHA The hostel is in a magnificent turreted baronial mansion beautifully set in parkland overlooking Loch Lomond. It is 3km from the town of Balloch and makes an excellent base for watersports and boat trips as well as hiking in Glen Finlas and Luss Glen, or climbing Ben Bowie.
