Ate out in a good restaurant if you turn right when you come out of the hostel, head to the end of the street, turn right again & head to the end of the street it is facing you but for the life of me I can't remember the name. If you're on a budget though you might prefer the chipper belonging to the hostel where you check in. |

Dunrobin Castle way south. The castle itself is interesting particularly the fairy tale turrets design but the falconry display really made it for me. The guy who did it was a complete character & even though I'm not that interested in birds I found him fascinating. Orkney Island. Stromness is where the ferry lands & is a lovely little town to visit & stay a few nights if you can. Scapa Flow, the Chirchhill bnarriers & the Italian Chapel are a must especially if you're into Maritime & WW1/2 history. If you're into archaeology you have a feast of sites on the island ranging from Scara Brae, Malstrom, Tomb of the Eagles, the list is endless. |
