Do miss Wick which is a total dump. Don't miss the Walligoe Steps off the Wick road - ask for directions as VERY hard to find without. Dunrobin Castle of course. They may have done robbing now, but the proceeds have been used to produce the most impressive pile in the most extraordinary position. |

Carbisdale Castle SYHA for ghosts and ridulously over-the-top hostelling, or Durness for the opposite, with heavenly beaches and Smoo Cave thrown in. |
