The potato restaurant with the bear was good (I forgot the name). Very friendly waitress and good food for cheap. |

Most shops close early and aren't open on Sunday. Just enjoy a nice long meal and scroll or bike through town. I think that's the best thing to do to take in the feel of the town. There is a night tour with guys dressed up in Luther and city guard outfits but that was in German when I was there. |

Definitely hire a bike for the day for 8 euros (ask info shop how to get there as the hostel has NO clue which is very weird in my opinion) and ride to all the museums and go through the park and visit the zoo if you have time. The zoo is small but cute and very clean. You can feed goats which I found fun. Make sure to visit Luther's church St. Marien, his house and the GDR/DDR museum. The tour guides in the museum are super friendly! I loved it! The bike shop guys are friendly as well. Regarding tours, the information shop, which is right across the street from the Castle church, has audio guides for rent in case you can't find an English tour guide (they only had German tour guides when I was there in August) . You can do 2 hours listening to the audio guide. It wasn't the best but if you want a tour, it's kind of the only choice you have. Beware, the information desk employees aren't very friendly or customer srvc-oriented. |

Erfurt, Wartburg Castle, Eisleben and other Luther sites. I went to Berlin afterwards but would've loved to have been able to go to Erfurt at the very least. Enjoy your trip! and if you can help it stay at the Best Western or some other hotel. |

Wittenburg is a small town, so you can't expect night time entertainment but can enjoy the local nature of the quiet small town. |
