There's not a lot to eat in Vik so enjoy the gas station. Otherwise there is a grocery market that has a nice selection of fresh fruits / veggies.

Look up groups like mountainguides.is (I think that's their site) and go ice climbing on the glacier. Skogar isn't too far and there's a great waterfall and small museum to check out.

The only restaurant in town (off-season) is at the petrol station and it closes at 7.30pm, so make sure you get there in time, otherwise there's nothing.

The hostel is located in Vík, a small village with appr. 300 inhabitants. From the hostel you have a very good view over the village. In the hostel you will find a guest kitchen and a dining room. All services are close by. Dyrhólaey is only 15 km from the Hostel. Activities Vík has a beautiful nature and the area around the hostel is ideal for hiking. Museums and golf courses are close by.
