There is a library near the City Center. It is an execellent library, especially for children. In the ground floor, there are many good facilities for children. I think many other countries, especially Asian, can learn from it. Moreover, the Moomin Land in Naantali is also a very nice place and is highly recommended for a visit. Finland gives me very good impression on education and the care for children, especially compared with Asian countries. (I am from Hong Kong) |

It's a great start point for a bike trip along Åbo-archipelago to the Åland (via Mariehamn city) and then to Sweden (via Geta and Eckerö) using small ferries running between the islands, there are many good campings to overnight. |

Åbo is a great place to visit and the Hostel Turku situated in the very heart of the ancient capital city. Pros: - well situated, beautiful Aura river is a few steps away! - very friendly staff (!!!) - there is a cheap bike rental only for $10 per day (it is really hard to explore the city without a bike, trust my word!!!) - staff can speak also swedish! Cons: - doors closes at 2:00 - 6:00 AM, one has always bear in mind that dummy fact, it is very unfriendly! - reception works only few hours per day (15:00-23:00, 8:00-11:00) - early check-out (10:00 AM) - there is no free Wi-Fi (!!!) / free internet at all! :-\ - no free tea in the kitchen: I had to buy and share my own pack - electronic key-cards is evil - only simple city-bikes ar available for rental: it is very tiresome to make a suburban trips! Actually, there are no good alternatives at the moment: only two hostels in the whole city (the second situated too far from the city itself), so it is. |

The Castle of Turku with its museum is pretty interesting. Luostarinmäki Handicrafts Museum was a bit disappointing in winter, when no one is there to show you how their craft/work. |

Rauma is not far, and can be done in half a day if you just walk around in the old town. |
