HI Hostel Tournai - Tournai Youth HostelBeware, charming manager! Tournai Youth Hostel has its own veritable institution; he goes by the name of Christian. Fan of rock, fairytales and exploring the world around him, he is undoubtedly the main attraction in the town due to his dynamic nature and legendary good temper. Yes, we’re completely sure about that: even ahead of the Belfry and Cathedral! He’s always ready to chat over a good local beer and put the world to rights. Art and culture are ever-present in the hostel; the building is a former music academy next to which the Musée des Beaux-Arts can be found. The ground floor rooms are decorated with magnificent tapestries. Tournai is town that benefits from being small with all the facilities of a large town. The town centre, attractions, shops, buses, station etc. are all 20 minutes on foot from the hostel (just a 3 minute walk to the Grand Place!). Doesn’t that sound good? | more...... |
