Visit the Japan National Tourist Organization TIC near Yurakucho Station before venturing out. The staff is very helpful, and they will arm you with all the tools you need for seeing the sights. |

Yoshinoya is a great place to get a bowl of rice with beef and broth on top. There are several locations in cities throughout Japan, including one just outside Yurakucho Station. Walk out of the station headed for the Kotsu Kaikan Building, which houses the main tourist information office in Tokyo, and make a U-turn to your left. Yoshinoya is right there. You can eat for less than $4. Also, the restaurant in Building D at the Olympic complex where the hostel is located, has breakfast for less than $5. Bento boxes available at convenience stores and train stations make a great lunch. You can get them for around $5-$7. Be sure and get one before boarding the bullet train so you can eat it as you travel. |

| HI Hostel Tokyo - Yoyogi YH The hostel is located on the premise of the National Olympics Memorial Youth Centre in Yoyogi, from where it takes no more than 30 minutes by train to many of the downtown areas in Tokyo, including Shinjuku and Shibuya. In the proximate vicinity, there are Yoyogi Park and a forest of the Meiji Shrine, providing tranquility in the hustle-bustle of the mega city. The rooms at the hostel are all singles. Cafeterias and restaurants within the Youth Centre, are open to the hostel guests at reasonable prices.
Under the regulations of the National Youth Center we belong to, shower room is available from 5pm until 11pm.
Check-in time is 4pm-10pm. No curfew after your check-in. Check-out time is 7am-9am, check-out earlier than 7am needs to be consulted.
