Walk to Asakusa (shopping center, temples and shrines) along the River Walk a few blocks from the hostel. Bridges are color coded ( yellow bridge is close to hostel & red bridge leads to Asakusa). Impressive Tokyo Earthquake Memorial commemorates the victims of the great earthquake is a couple of blocks on the other side of the yellow bridge.
