* Vibrant town hall square, city walls and towers, Open-Air museum near Rocca Al Mare, Soviet-era monuments, sculptures, massive locomotive outside the railway station is ideal for kids and parents. * Don't waste your time visiting the Occupation museum. Small and too basic. * Patarei prison is not open to the public. You need to ring a telephone number to arrange a visit. * Ideal for amateur photographers who enjoy walking around in search for a snap shoot, especially some parks and squares such as the Vabaduse Valjak where youngsters gather. * Helsinki day visit for 460 Krooni return with Viking. |

The big market next to the regional train station (west of old town) was a great place to get groceries and everything else you need. Few tourists go there. Great experience. |
