Using the riverside walks as a way of taking in the attractions - from the winding streets of the old town to the modern sights of the European Parliament and the stylish footbridge over the Rhine into Germany. Using the relaxing riverside walks is a great way of way of taking in the contrasting sights both old (winding medieval streets, cathedral quarter) and new (European Parliament buildings, stylish contemporary art gallery, footbridge across the Rhine into Germany). Also the all-day museum pass was very good value - as the art collections were superb.

Colmar is quite lovely. You can also visit the village of Eguisheim when you are there.

Depends on what you are doing. After Strasbourg, I would recommend Freiburg or Basel.

The History of Strasbourg museum is great value for money. The Cathedral is also a wonderful place to walk around.
