Brussels! The most delicious city in Europe. |

14 Sep 2010 Gerard, England & Wales:
The Van Gogh museum and the Rijksmuseum are a must see, and only a 5 minute walk away. Buy the tickets at the hostel and jump the usually long ques that are there. Worth a visit is the Anne Frank House. Get there early for first admissions or late on for last admissions to avoid huge ques. There are no que jumps for pre bought tickets here. Across the road from the hostel is a canal path, there are a number of boat rides that can be taken. However, I highly advise hiring a canalbike (pedal boat) if there are 4 of you a canal bike can be hired for 2 hours for 12.euros each. There are 5 different stations across the cabal ways if you want to get off and see an attraction. You get a differenbt perspective of the city and it's great fun pedalling along to burn all those breakfast pancakes and wafles off. The free walking tour is worth a shot, although it is very long at over 3 hours. If there is a shorter version then look out for that. I was there for 5 days and still didn't get to see everything. |

14 Sep 2010 Gerard, England & Wales:
Off the beaten track there is a fantastic French restaurant/bistro called bonjour. IT is located on Keizersgracht 770, 1017 Amsterdam. The set menu is great value for money. There is a 19.50 euro or 23.50 euro 3 course set menu with different dishes on each one. A great little place you can easily miss, but try not to. |
