The cappuccino out of the machines in the lounge area isn't bad. Loved the park next door. Breakfast at the hostel was great. |

Enjoyed the 'free' walking tour especially when I swopped guides unintentionlly halfway through the tour. Great for the first morning in Amsterdam. |

Your best bet is to go to the local supermarket, there's a Lidl down the road form Vondelpark, and buy your food from there. Eating out is expensive! |

The bars are expensive. The cheapest place to get Alcohol is from the Supermarket or the hostel bar @ 3.50Euros a pint compared to from 6Euros in town. |

You may want to book tickets in advance for the Museums etc. Or there's the red light district, it depends on what you're into... PS the red light district is hard to find, and there's not much to see anyway! |
