Use the SBB web site and get the bus connections to Gafflei to go hiking...miles along the ridge above the hostel and Vaduz. Bus free with swiss pass, or rent a bike and pedal forever along the river |

For supermarket, check out the one in Schaan town. Direction: On the main road near the hostel, take bus 11 or 12 towards Schaan. Just after a few stops, right before stop Schaan Post, you will find a supermarket on your left hand side. This supermarket is opened for quite long hours, longer than the one in the capital Vaduz. You can in fact walk there from the hostel only for 15 minutes. |

Malbun as a skiing OR hiking base. Don't miss! Redtape: DON'T HIKE FROM MALBUN TO SCHÖNBERG/GRAUSPITZ/NABKOPF in ski season! It is not because it's dangerous. It is because, before you can reach any higher, you will be stopped by the snow, which sinks half of your body, even on steep terrain. Even snow shoes can't help much. Therefore, there is no way to proceed further onto the mountain. |
