Take a stroll across the road to the park and walk amongst the steaming pools and bubbling mud. And by the way, take a towel as there are a couple of places to sit on a seat and soak your legs in the warm waters. It's so refreshing and the best part of all! it's free. |

Fat dog cafe is really cool and eclectic. Great coffee and baked goods in the morning. Rest of the menu looked like it would be really good too. |

The vastness, diversity and color of Wai O Tapu's geothermal area was fascinating and beautiful. Lady Knox geyser doesn't compare to Pohutu,but the other geothermal formations are surreal. If you can't afford both sites, watch Pohutu from Rotorua with binocolors. |
