27 Jun 2008 WENDY, Canada:
Ulises Pizzeria (so much more!) on the 280 bus line from hostel, gett off on via Guiessepe Ferrari one stop before the Lepanto Metro...delisioso! The Restaurant across the street from San Sebastiano catacomb, follow the driveway to the right of the 'chip wagon' for a restaurant with ambience and scrumptious menu. Take bus 180 from San Giovanni metro station, if the San Calista catacomb is opened cut across their property to get to San Sebastiano catacomb, it's a little shorter walk and much more pleasant. Tip: San Calista catacomb is closed Wednesdays and the gates to their grounds will be closed. |

27 Jun 2008 WENDY, Canada:
The Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Spanish steps, Coloseum, observatory on Monte Mario and of course the Stadio Olimpico at the Foro Italico next door to the hostel for sport and concert attractions. OH Yeah! The shopping! The shopping is out of this world, the very word 'style' is italian, when you're not drooling on your gelato you're drooling over the very fashionably dressed Romans. |

27 Jun 2008 WENDY, Canada:
Head to Assisi for the magic of an Umbrian hill top town and don't forget to explore the town of Santa Maria degli Angeli the site of St. Francis' first church. Assisi is easily accessible by bus from the Assis train station, best to park the car and take the bus all the way up as cars are not allowed or are limited access into Assisi. You'll pay for parking anyway but you'll walk quite a distance all up hill! Head to Salerno to chill while you visit the Amalfi coast, Mount Vesuvius and Pompei ruins. Head to Levanto to relax and unwind at Marguerite's cafe patio in Levanto overlooking the shady piazza near the beach while you're trekking through the Cinque Terre. The Ostello Ospedelli del Mare is cheap and cheerful. |

|
10 Jun 2008 Fernando, Brazil:
Rome at night is wonderful, there are many buses that make city tours |
|
|
07 Jun 2008 Dustin, USA:
Restaurants in and around Trastevere - GREAT food and service with awesome atmosphere (narrow alleyways with outdoor seating and street performers - makes you feel like you're in the spaghetti scene of Lady and the Tramp) |
|
|
06 Jun 2008 Michael, Canada:
If you stay here, forget it. The metro shuts down at 22:00, and the buses are challenging to navigate properly. |
