Lots of nice restaurants in the village of Richterwill, quite affordable. Meals at the hostel were affordable too but they didn't provide a menu before hand. There are a couple of supermarkets in the village too. |

The hostel food is great value, and some of the best food we had all week which is saying something since we ate in some pretty fancy restaurants. Definetly opt to eat in at least one night!! |

My stay is too short to do anything with a little distance away, yet I hiked up the hill watching sunset and waking up early in the dark waiting for sunrise from the lake. I note there is nearby attractions with ready to take info inside hostel. I may try that out on my next visit. |

Just get food/drinks from the convenient store at fairly good price. |

I prefer quietness there and I love my short stay there. But if you prefer group playing, there is sufficient space for doing so including playing outside table tennis; sand pitch and children playground a few metres away. |

I am on my one month holiday travelling in Kent, UK. Then fly to New York for 2 weeks. I'm planning to go Finland in July/August and will look up internet for a HI stay again. |

HI Hostel Richterswil Not many people have ever heard of Richterswil but anyone discovering the little town on Lake Zurich will doubtlessly have fond memories of their stay in the youth hostel. The recently converted building is situated right on the lake, in a beautiful extensive park.
