The 10-11 supermarket which is about a 5 min walk from the hostel. There are also a couple of places in town for good food. The hotdog stand near the harbour on Tryggvagata or the Sea Baron seafood restaurant right in the harbour which has the best lobster soup and seafood skewers.
Don't miss... 11 Jun 2009 Patricia, Canada:
If you have time, go right to the Blue Lagoon when you get off the plane. It is the cure for jet-lag. We came in on a night flight with two little kids and no real sleep on the plane. We got to the hostel; slept for a few hours and then went to the Blue Lagoon. When we got home again, we were all refreshed and relaxed and ready to party. It was like getting 2 days out of 24 hours. If your time is short, the Gold Circle tour gets you out into the country side very nicely--and you see a few cool sights and the wonderful countryside.
Don't miss... 08 Jun 2009 Gill, Scotland:
Huskey Trave;- Jon is amazing- its expensive but worth every penny
Don't miss... 26 May 2009 JENNIFER, Canada:
Anything and everything. Horseback riding at Laxnes Farms or any day tour with Iceland Excursions or Reykjavik Excursions
For good eats check out... 05 Jun 2009 Alex, Canada:
Hjomandlind was a great little vegetarian cafe in the city, 23 Laugavegur. They had great food, terrific soups and amazing hot chocolate that tasted like banana bread. Really nice andcizy atmosphere.
