Bring your own. I was only there for the evenings, but this seems to be in a relatively isolated spot as compared to downtown hostels. They have refrigerators.

Shop at Bonus. Eat at either Nings (come out of the hostel take a left walk down by the Thermal pool and take the first left and it it at the top of the street at the T junction, about a further 800meteres) Average price 1200 Krona. Also Try Krua thaa at the habour opposite the Volcano Cinema, similar prices. Day trips usually include lunch and sometimes dinner, which in my experience have been great.

In the hostel, they show DVD's which are interesting and informative. Sit in the kictchens or sitting rooms and talk with fellow travellers. Check out what is going on at the Theatre and also night clubs, musis scene. There are some times free concerts in the part opposite the Parliament building.
