Let's Speak Iceland, a funny and good history lesson about Iceland, and funny. I found the pink brochure in the hostel, but they moved the performance location to the Vikingardin Restaurant (very close to The Dubliner in the town centre). Pretty funny. |

The National Museum was very interesting. It was a long walk (maybe 3 km) but very good displays about life in Iceland and history. |

There's a supermarket and some takeaway restaurants options within a 10 min walk. Take advantage of the excellent breakfast served at the hostel too! |

We went on two pub crawls - no idea of the name of the places tho. There's one particular place that has a reggae night on Fridays - good tunes. Ignore the gripes about drinking in Iceland being expensive - it's cheaper than Australia! Grab a bottle of something duty free at the airport too. |

Everything! We did some hiking at Sneafellsjokull and Thorsmork, visited Vatnajokull and Solheimjokull, and did the Golden Circle. I'd highly recommend Arctic Adventures for your guides - a great bunch of people. |

The Sea Barren was not cheap, but well worth it. The local fish markets are also a great option if you would like to cook at the hostel, there is one near by the Reykjavik City Hostel. |

| HI Hostel Reykjavík CityReykjavík City hostel is the perfect choice for travellers seeking good company and affordable quality while enjoying all that Reykjavík has to offer. The hostel is one of the HI network if hostels in Iceland and one of two hostels in Reykavik. The hostel is situated in the Laugardalur Park, the city´s main recreation area, and next door to the national football stadium and the biggest geothermal swimming pool in Reykjavík. It is conveniently close to the city centre – 10 minutes on the number 14 bus will take you right to the heart of the downtown and the city´s exuberant nightlife. Those seeking a real downtown location and a bigger range for comfortable double rooms should look for availabilites in our new Reykjavik Downtown Hostel. The Reykavik City hostel´s facilities include internet access and free WIFI in common areas, coffee bar, TV, conference room with projector for power-point presentations and our regular cinema evenings, 3 fully-equipped guest kitchens, lockers and laundry.
