Saegrafinn...by the harbour in front of where boats are moored...makeshift cabin with benches and cute stools and decor with fantastic fish, veg and potatoes on skewers...heard the lobster soup is great too. Gray Cat - No.16....on the road parallell to Laugauven Gata towards see...very very very cute and cosy breakfast cafe open early...great decor and friendly staff Vegetarian restaurant...corner of Laugauven Gata above 1928 shop upstairs...tasty and reasonably priced with friendly staff. DON'T BOTHER WITH: Solon, a corner restaurant near bottom of Laugauven...looks fake contemporary with overpriced food and not that helpful staff! |

20 Sep 2008 Claire, England & Wales:
Jokularson - iceberg lagoon and don't forget the beach with icebergs on it! Gullfoss - be daring and go the edge of the rocks to see it upclose, its perfectly safe! Dyjul...something?! - its the black beach with stacks in the sea Glacier jeep trip/snow mobile - try it, we didnt and wish we had after speaking to people Blue Lagoon - pricey but well worth it to spend 3 hours relaxing. at the very least get out of Reykjavik, hire and car or catch a lift along the No.1 Ring Road and watch the amazing landscape unfold around you. |
