HI Hostel Qingdao - YHA Old ObservatoryQingdao Observatory, the first observatory in China, is home of our youth hostel, which is situated on Mt. Observatory in the heart of Qingdao, it is a hidden gem from which to explore China’s most vibrant coastal city. It overlooks the Qingdao Bay, most hostel rooms have a panoramic view over the city’s skyline. The national ground zero point for China’s altitude is located right in front of the hostel. Many historical buildings are located near the Old Observatory making it a superb location to view historical landmarks including ZhanQiao Pier, Beach No. 1, German Governor Castle, Old Town Hall, Mt.
