Playa Union for dolphins and Punta Tombo for penguins...especially the penguins. INCREDIBLE! Look around for tours, though. The "guide" for our tour was more of a chauffeur and didn't accompany us on any of the excursion parts.

HI Hostel Puerto Madryn - El Gualicho

The central location of the Hostel (1 block from main square and 3 blocks from the beach) allows you to enjoy the facilities of the attractive town and beach of Puerto Madryn. There is a choice of private or shared accommodation in large bright rooms around the garden. There are individual lockers in the rooms. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and an attractive dinning room. The hostel has a quiet garden for relaxing or taking a nap. The spacious living room is ideal for reading, meeting with other travellers . Internet access and Wi-Fi Puerto Madryn is the starting place to discover the rich variety of wildlife that lives in the Peninsula Valdes area. We have our own travel agency , and organize tours in small groups, that are especially designed for young, independent travelers.
