A lot less evening and night entertainment then I expected! Arrived on a friday, and there was nothing organised for the night! Too bad..
Don't miss... 06 Jan 2010 Deborah, USA:
The falls are magnificent. We were a bit disappointed when they closed a trail at 5:10pm when the park showed it was open until 6pm. Bummer. Went back the next morning though to see more. It takes longer for the train than you might think during peak seasons.

If your a good walker, then one day at the Iguazu water falls will do ( at a hefty 60.00 entrance fee, in Brazilian money) otherwise take day number 2, at the reduced rate of 30.00 (when you have your day 1 ticket stamped and signed, before leaving the national park, after seeing the waterfalls.) Also, if you arrive into the town of Puerto Iguazu (from Brazil) then don`t get talked into taking an expensive taxi, all the way from the long distance bus station in "Porto del Este" on the Brazilian side (by the infomation office there) to go to Puerto Iguazu city on the Argentine side. Just catch a local city bus from the long distance bus station to the downtown bus terminal and -from there- a regular bus will take you through the two border crossings for only 5 argentine pesos. The buses will not wait for you (to do the passport inspection at the crossings) but they run frequently -and- the same 5 peso bus ticket will be accepted on all 3 buses.

The meals served at the hostel are quite yummy and a really good price.

This is a fabulous place to stay if you like to interact with people from all over the world and have a party at night right at your door step. Staying at this hostel made all the difference in the world to the enjoyment of our four nights/five days in Iguazu. If you're touchy about sharing space, reserve your own room.

We went ziplining and rapelling down a waterfall. This was a big highlight for me because in addition to the fun adventure, we got to see another side of life in the jungle.

The Brazilian dancers were certainly entertaining
Don't miss... 28 Nov 2009 Margaret, England & Wales:
The Argentine side of the falls. Try to go early - the park opens at 8am and if you are there then you can see a lot before the day really heats up. Take your time though and be sure to remember insect repellant and sunscreen.
For good eats check out... 28 Nov 2009 Margaret, England & Wales:
I didn´t see many people cooking but there is a kitchen available. You cannot eat out for much cheaper than the evening meals prepared at the hostel.

Asado evenings include Brazilian Entertainment - good for a laugh. Bar by the pool is open til late and there is a great atmosphere.
