Any spot around the hotel is cheap and really good. Try a chorizo bife (no it's not a sausage like we Americans are use to) |

Brazil side of the falls, you should actually do the Brazil side first otherwise the Brazil side is not as great as the Arg side. The city on the Brazil side has a lot more things to do though. |

Iguazu falls, of course. You MUST experience both Argentinian and Brazilian sides, the views are different form each country, but all well worth it. If you're Canadian or American (some other countries, also) you need a Brazilian visa to enter the Brazilian side. The embassy is a short walk from the hostel and you will need to leave your passport with them and pick it up the next day (generally by 11:00am). So I suggest 4 nights, 3 full days here. Day 1 submit your passport and then visit the Argentinian side, day 2 pick up your passport and visit more of the Argentinian side, and on the 3rd day go to the Brazilian side. Brazil requires a visa for any country that charges its citizens for visas to visit - be prepared, do the online application, have your photo and exact change to pay it. Note: entrance to Iguazu falls is payable only in local currency in cash on the Argentinian side... the Brazilian side accepts credit card. As of May, 2011 Argentinian side was 100 pesos per person, with 50% off second day if you got your receipt stamped on your way out. Brazilian side was $37.50 Reals - about the same price. |

Things are expensive and not so special, better to get groceries at the local markets and make your own meals at the hostel - you'll eat better and save a fortune |
